my first contact with this couple was the morning of their session!
This special morning, I did a last minute change and booked my flight back to Lanai from Maui when it was supposed to return on a later date. It was the first flight out this morning at 7:00am. Pretty early! I was with my dog Leon and we were headed home after a week of weddings on Maui. Joining us on these flight were four other passengers, two of which were Sai + Sapna. They were excited and full of life on the flight because they literally just got engaged and wanted to spend these moments on their favorite island in the state - Lanai!
After the flight, we were all in line waiting per Covid travel requirements and so we started a conversation asking what we all did for work. When I explained I was a photographer, their excitement grew! They couldn't find a photographer on Lanai and were totally interested in engagement photos to document this monumental time in their lives. It was a done deal! Sent them my website, a few text arrangements later and we reconnected that same evening at Hulopoe Beach!
What are the chances?! Had I not changed my flight for this particular morning, I would've never met this amazing couple. The universe works in incredible ways and that's why I say, these moments were meant to be. I'm so grateful!
