You're done with your photos, so what's next on the agenda? Most times it's FOOD! And I'm here to help. I like to consider myself a foodie, so on top of being a local, I hope to share some of my favorite places to eat.


I'll be focusing on West Maui, South Maui, and Central Maui locations closer to the popular photo locations. Listed by district, you can look forward to fine dining restaurants, casual dining, quick grab-n-go, and food trucks. Another thing you might notice, most places I'll be recommending will have Asian-influenced food and that's because these types of restaurants take about 75% of our food places.

West Maui Eats

If you're in Olowalu, Lahaina, Napili, and Kapalua, these stops are most convenient for you!

  1. Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar (Kapalua, Maui) - Casual restaurant. They are popular for their seafood, especially their sushi! Call for reservations up to four weeks in advance at (808) 669-6286.
  2. Merriman's Hawaii (Kapalua, Maui) - Fine dining restaurant. Their Asian-influenced entrees are wonderful! So wonderful that this is also a popular restaurant for wedding receptions. Make a reservation online here.
  3. Roy's (Kaanapali, Maui) - Fine dining restaurant. I love their Asian-influenced entrees. I go there on special occasions! Make a reservation online.
  4. Hula Grill (Kaanapali, Maui) - Casual restaurant. Great Asian-influenced entrees and the Original Hula Pie for dessert is yummy! Make a reservation online here.
  5. Monkeypod (Kaanapali, Maui) - Causal restaurant. Known for their dinners and cocktails. They don't take reservations, so you can walk-in.
  6. Kimo's (Lahaina Town, Maui) - Casual restaurant. Laid back and great Asian-influenced menus. Make a reservation online here.
  7. Star Noodle (Lahaina Town, Maui) - Casual restaurant. Popular to the locals for their Asian-influenced food. Only taking reservations, reserve here.
  8. Lahaina Pizza Co (Lahaina Town, Maui) - Casual restaurant on Front Street. One of my favorite pizza places on island.
  9. Teddy's Bigger Burgers (Lahaina Town, Maui) - Extra casual. Great for grab-n-go meals. One of favorite burger joints in the state.
  10. Las Islitas Maui (Lahaina Town, Maui) - Food Truck. Best birria tacos on the island! Here's their instagram @tacosymariscoslasislitas

  12. Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice (Lahaina Town, Maui) - Grab-n-go. My go-to cold treat, try it with a snow cap!
  13. Choice Health Bar (Lahaina Town, Maui) - Grab-n-go. Plant-based food. Their acai bows are so good!

South Maui Eats

Kihei, Wailea, and Makena areas, this one's for you!

  1. Cafe O'Lei (Kihei, Maui) - Casual restaurant. Their entrees are amazing! I love the Macnut Crusted Mahi Mahi for dinner. Call 808-891-1368 for reservations.
  2. Fabiani's (Kihei, Maui) - Casual restaurant. One of the top Italian restaurants on Maui.
  3. Kihei Caffee (Kihei, Maui) - Casual restaurant. Best breakfast in Kihei! Open from Monday thru Sundays 6am - 2pm.
  4. Peggy Sue's Maui (Kihei, Maui) - Casual restaurant. I absolutely love their burgers and the vintage styling there!
  5. Outback Steakhouse (Kihei, Maui) - Casual restaurant. Okay, I know this is a huge franchise in the states, BUT it's great for a good steak dinner.
  6. Isana (Kihei, Maui) - Casual restaurant. Known for their sushi! Call (808) 874-5700 for reservations.

  12. Tommy Bahama Restaurant (Wailea, Maui) - Fine dining restaurant. Located in the Shops at Wailea. Great dinner entrees. Call (808) 875-9983 for reservations.
  13. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (Wailea, Maui) - Fine dining restaurant. Located in the Shops at Wailea. Call (808) 874-8880 for reservations.
  14. Lineage (Wailea, Maui) - Fine dining restaurant. Located in the Shops at Wailea. Known for their entrees. Current hours vary. Call (808) 879-8800 for reservations.
  15. Duo Steakhouse & Seafood (Wailea, Maui) - Fine dining restaurant. Located in the Four Seasons resort and great food and service. Make a reservation on their homepage.
  16. Kō (Wailea, Maui) - Fine dining restaurant in the Kea Lani Resort. Amazing food! So good, lots of wedding receptions take place here. Make a reservation on their homepage.
  17. Nick's Fishmarket (Wailea, Maui) - Fine dining restaurant in the Kea Lani Resort. Another place for wedding receptions because of their excellent service and food. Call (808) 879-7224 for reservations.
  18. Gannon's Restaurant (Wailea, Maui) - Fine dining restaurant. Their food is also incredible! Make a reservation online here.

Central & North Maui Eats

  1. Marco's Grill & Deli (Kahului, Maui) - Casual restaurant. Great Italian restaurant! Call (808) 877-4446 for reservations.
  2. Poi By the Pound (Kahului, Maui) - Casual restaurant. Locals love this Hawaiian food place! Walk ins welcome.
  3. Thai Mee Up (Kahului, Maui) - Food truck. I love their thai food!

  5. Farmacy Health Bar (Wailuku, Maui) - Grab-n-go. Health focused quick meals. Their acai bowls are amazing!
  6. Tokyo Tei (Wailuku, Maui) Casual "mom + pop" restaurant. Great "hole in the wall" small Japanese restaurant. Walk-ins welcome.
  7. Flatbread Company (Paia, Maui) - Causal restaurant. Great pizza place! Walk-ins for dining welcome (but can get busy).
  8. Café De Amis (Paia, Maui) - Casual restaurant. I adore their sweet and savory crepes. Hours of operation may vary.
  9. Mama's Fish House (Paia, Maui) - Fine dining. One of thee BEST restaurants on the island. Reserve 6 months in advance if possible online here.
